Kurt could be one of the most laidback MDs on the planet. Motivating and leading a team is what he likes to do best. Avid reader of history, good footballer, crap golfer and occasional role model for his young Nephew. He dislikes pretentious business speak so use plain English when conversing with him!
Readaholic (especially popular science and historical fiction – but she also enjoys a good detective yarn!), Mel works to support our people development and quality improvement, along with data protection policy support for our customers. She is a keen cook, and being the oldest in the team, often shares recipes (what’s for tea tonight!?!) and lifehacks with our technical guys. Running around splashing barefoot on the beach with her grandkids? Yep, she does that too.
Father of Service Desk, the right hand of Operations, the future of Senior Management. These are just some of the ways to describe Mike, although he's far too humble to admit it. When he's not managing improvements to operations or looking after the Vigo family, Mike can be found looking after his own family. Although he's relatively new to parenting, he's picked it up with ease, much like any new IT problems thrown his way!
Dan is Vigo’s Technical Lead and the self-confessed geek of the office who can regularly be ‘lost’ for hours trying to beat a knotty problem. Outside of work he uses the gym or running to refocus his mind and body, which also allows him to sample copious coffees (and new menus!) at his family’s cafe and try out lots of local independent restaurants in Liverpool.
If he wasn’t so good at his Technical Lead role, Ste would probably start a travel business, with his main customer being himself! Generous to a fault, laid-back and with no time for ego or politics, some would say he is a joker (but he could just be the Ace of Hearts). He looks forward to meeting you…if he’s not on holiday!
As Vigo’s Technical Programme Manager, when he’s not at his desk looking for ways to help our customers with anything they need, James can probably be found at the gym or eating (let’s face it, he’s probably eating at his desk too!). Feel free to drop him a message with a question or even for a chat.
Carl is a devoted member of Vigo who spends his days as an analyst on our Service Desk. On the days he's not closing tickets, he enjoys spending time attending conventions or browsing the local games shop. Carl is an easy going individual who dislikes and avoids hostility – maybe it’s because he’s a brown belt in Jujitsu!
Rich is the master of planning installations, if there is something about physical infrastructure or Paxton access systems that he doesn’t know then it simply isn’t worth knowing about! When not on the day job he could really be anywhere in the country with his campervan, or enjoying the boxing on the telly!
Scott can be found playing football most nights of the week…and watching footie when he’s off the pitch! He also loves driving, which is handy as he works all over Merseyside setting up new equipment and running cables across Merseyside with the projects team.
Connoisseur of good tech and excellent pizza eater, Henry has fond memories of playing around with computers from an early age, building his first at age 10 (hey, who says Lego computers are rubbish!). When he’s not indoors in front of or behind a computer, Henry likes to be outdoors hiking and/or camping, especially in Wales.
Kurtis delivers a wide variety of projects from telecoms upgrades to cloud migrations, server installations and field support for our clients. His main specialism however is IT and Cyber Security, including supporting customers with their progress to achieving Cyber Essentials Plus certification. Outside of work, Kurtis’ main hobbies are also nerd-related – whether that’s gaming, coding, tweaking his servers or spending equal amounts of time breaking and making things. He’s polite, super-intelligent and game for a laugh. He’ll also Never Walk Alone.
Always tinkering on hardware or writing automation scripts, his fellow Technical Solutions Engineers have nicknamed him “the crazy professor”. Rumours say he will eventually unleash a sentient AI that will take over Vigo. When not working or studying, Enrico can be found at home gaming with his friends - or cannot be found at all because he is on yet another trip somewhere in Europe.
A Service Desk Analyst who likes to ensure customers leave with a smile on their face, Jamie has a passion for programming, AI and all things IT-related; He loves, lives and breathes music (is that even possible?), and plays piano. So, when he’s not at work you’ll find him either on his pc, at a sound recording desk or exploring music genres.
Michael spent 4 years in the Aerospace and Defence sector before joining Vigo. Initially working in the Service Desk team, getting to know our customers and becoming a fully-baked IT problem solver, he’s now part of our Technical Solutions team. In his spare time Michael can be found living his second life in Azeroth on his Dwarf Hunter in World of Warcraft. He is polite and is always willing to help anyone in need when they ask.
Chris has recently made a career switch to join the Vigo team, where he is eager to learn and absorb all the knowledge he can from his colleagues. When he's not resolving your tech issues and closing tickets, Chris enjoys spending time in the great outdoors walking his two Jack Russells. As a new father to a beautiful baby girl, Chris balances his work and personal life by making time for fitness and gaming, lifting weights at the gym, or battling as a Guardian in Destiny 2. If you don't catch him at work, you may find him among the stars - eyes up, Guardian!
One from Anglesey Rhodri is, and you can find him working in the VIGO Anglesey Office, which is located at Menai Science Park (M-SParc). Rhodri is at Bangor University studying cyber-Security, in addition to working on the technical Service desk. You can find Rhodri greeting you over the phone on both North Wales and Merseyside technical Service desk. Outside of work, you will find Rhodri being passionate about everything technological, whether that be LoRaWAN or even CAD/CAM. Outside of technology, Rhodri enjoys traveling around when he’s got a moment; most of the time in Wales, but you will find Rhodri travelling to the Isle of Man religiously to relax like he would back at home!
From North Wales and working on service desk in the VIGO Anglesey office. You will hear Ifan on the phone on the Anglesey and Merseyside service desk. Ifan is new to the service desk but has a passion for all aspects of computing, especially new technologies. When not on the phone solving issues, Ifan enjoys climbing the many mountains of Wales, exploring the outdoors and football.
Vigo have a fantastic team, thank you
